"The most beautiful hotel with outstanding amenities and staff. The location was excellent right in the heart of a historic Kyoto neighborhood. We really enjoyed the history behind the building and how they preserved the elementary school memorabilia. The guest lounge is a wonderful option for afternoon tea or happy hour drinks. "The staff were very helpful and the location is pretty solid! The food (bar, bakery and restaurant) was fantastic! I had an issue with certain smell coming from the bathroom and they were very accommodating to offer another room! Mosquitoes are an issues here but overall, a great stay! Thank you for making my mom’s birthday trip special! :)"

"This hotel was awesome! Friendly and helpful staff. The onsen was a nice experience. The room was large for a Japan hotel. The only room for improvement feedback I have is to have them have more washer and dryer machines. I had to wait 50 minutes just to get a washer. The dryer setting on the first cycle doesn’t dry clothes so two other people in front of me had to do another dry cycle. I also had to do an extra dry cycle. It was a little ridiculous having to wait so long to do some laundry. I think there could be a better system or more machines for guests. The location was perfect! Right next to a train and subway station which made it super easy to get around to all of our destinations. There is also tons of shopping and wonderful restaurants in walking distance. Overall, this was our favorite place that we stayed at on our trip. It was very nice!!"

"Comfortable bed. Clean room. You have to step up into the bathroom and down to get out which could be a problem if you have knee issues. Location is good. Breakfast was priced high for the selection. We didn’t take it for the second morning. We were able to sleep with our window open which was good because we did not have control of the AC, and it cooled down enough at night that the outside air came in."
