Majestic Mirage Costa Mujeres, All Suite Resort - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Beautiful resort, a little on the small side. Had the oceanfront plunge pool suite. The plunge pool was the highlight of the whole resort... a perfect setting for day or night views... the resort seemed a little rushed to be open... water would leak from the shower to the washroom. The entertainment team was very subpar to what im used to... interaction with them was very minimal... quite disappointing... the schedule was constantly changed and made it difficult to figure out what was going on for the day. The white party was good other than it ending an hour before it was supposed to. The shows and food were a 8 out of 10... stayed at mirage punta cana twice before here and the experience there was far beyond my expectations. Would highly recommend staying there instead of costa mujeres unfortunately."

Hotel Riu Dunamar - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"The hotel was nice overall, the food was good, and there were several pools to enjoy, including two adults-only pools, which we really appreciated.
However, there were a couple of disappointing issues during our stay:
* On two different occasions, the hotel alarm went off and we were told to evacuate the building. Both ended up being false alarms. The second one happened at 6 AM, and when I called reception afterward, there was no apology or explanation.
* The air conditioning stopped working for an entire day and, more importantly, throughout the whole night, which made it very uncomfortable.
As I said, we still had a nice stay overall, but considering the other options available, I don’t think we would return."

TRS Coral Hotel - Adults Only - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"Beautiful resort with a stunning property overall. The customer service, however, was lacking. Check-in was long and felt unwelcoming from the start. We stayed in a swim-out room, which was beautiful, but there were a few maintenance issues — the jets needed repair and the patio light was not working.
We were asked to wait until 3 PM to enter the room because they stated they needed to do a “thorough check,” yet several items still appeared to have been missed. The “butler” service also did not feel like true butler service.
It was my birthday trip, and I travel every year for my birthday, so I’m used to resorts adding thoughtful touches like a birthday banner on the door, chocolates, or a small cake in the room. Unfortunately, none of that was included here. Birthday decorations of any kind required an additional fee, and when I asked customer service about a simple door banner, I was told, “We don’t do that.”
On a positive note, the food was very good for an all-inclusive resort. The Italian restaurant was just okay compared to the others. Overall, we still had a good time, but the experience lacked the personal touches that make a birthday stay feel special."

SLS Playa Mujeres – ALL Inclusive Collection
4/10 Poor
"I recently stayed at SLS Playa Mujeres and unfortunately left very disappointed overall. For a property marketed as a five-star luxury resort, too many details were missed, and in hospitality, the small details are what separate a true luxury experience from an average one.
One of my biggest frustrations was not being informed upfront about the “elite” upgrade package option. Whether intentional or not, it created the feeling that there was always another tier you were expected to pay for in order to get the “real” experience. Even then, from what I could tell, the differences didn’t seem substantial enough to justify it.
The room details were surprisingly underwhelming. For a family of four, the snack setup consisted of a single pack of Skittles and two small packs of Chips Ahoy. That may sound minor, but those are exactly the types of thoughtful touches guests expect from a luxury resort — and they were simply absent here.
The food was mediocre at best, and nearly every dining experience felt designed to push expensive upgrades. You already pay a premium to stay at the resort, yet somehow you constantly feel nickel-and-dimed. One dinner ended up costing me $250 for a steak and another $300 for a bottle of wine. By the end of the trip, I had spent more on meal “add-ons” than the actual cost of my four-day, three-night stay. The price gouging was excessive and honestly left a bad taste in my mouth.
Another major issue was how inconvenient the concierge system was organize"
