"My stay at the Ibis Berlin Kurfürstendamm was disappointing due to issues with the heating. The heater in my room was not working, making the room very cold at night. When I first reported the problem, I was told it was specific to my room and that no other rooms were available. I was given an extra blanket, but unfortunately, it was dusty. The following day, the staff acknowledged that the heating problem was actually affecting more rooms and provided a small portable heater, which only partially helped. Room cleanliness was average overall. The location is convenient, but the heating issue made the stay uncomfortable."

"Really disappointing stay. We booked for a spa stay. We accepted a less ideal location in return for the services and ended up trekking miles for no benefit. We were emailed 2 days before travelling and told the spa was closed. I called and the staff member said it would all reopen by the time we arrived. When we got there only the pool was open. No apologies. Mould in the bathroom, rusty radiator, badly damaged headboard, aircon was turned off because of the time of year - despite it being an unusually warm week. There was one milk sachet in the bedroom, which wasn’t replaced for the entirety of the stay so we had to go out and buy it. Used cups weren’t replaced so we were washing up. The place was soulless and unfriendly. I would recommend anyone goes elsewhere."

"Mercure promotes its commitment to sustainability, yet the room heating told a different story. When I arrived, the temperature was set to a sweltering 24°C, and it couldn’t be lowered beyond 19°C. Over my three‑night stay, I slept terribly, even with my unit switched off completely, the surrounding rooms kept the whole place uncomfortably warm. On the positive side, the reception team were excellent. They couldn’t have been more helpful, and both early check‑in and a very late check‑out were arranged without any fuss. The breakfast staff were also lovely and welcoming."

"Great location - 2 adults and 2 kids for a weekend. Very close to main transport links with lots of food choices close by. The breakfast quality and selection was 1st class. The gym & pool were a welcome addition - would recommend."

"Excellent staff, very responsive. Put us in connecting rooms (great for a family!) and provided extra duvets (we found the original ones a tad short). Glad we could drop off our luggage early. Had limited “lounge” space for evenings, but close to lots of restaurants and public transit. Would happily stay here again! "
