“Comfortable, well equipped 2 bedroom lodge with the living room, kitchen, bathroom, garden, parking space. Very kind owners always ready to talk. Property surrounded by a beautiful nature - green hills, farm animals. Not far are nice trails for hiking. Kendal is only 6 miles away. I recommend this place and I want to come back in the future.”

“The cottage itself was a little dated but clean and tidy with everything you needed. The view was spectacular but the road leading to the property was not for the faint hearted and very challenging. The small cottage is one of several holiday let’s on the same property and as the larger property was fully occupied with several visitors during our stay and between 6-10 cars we had to park outside the front of our bungalow which meant we saw our car not the view. Not bad but good be better.”

“House is clean and tidy. The kitchen has everything we need. Water pressure and temperature in all bathroom are perfect. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The heater in ground floor got very loud noise after few hours central heating been turn on. Need to turn up the heating,(e.g. from 0 to 2, from 2 to 3)to stop the noise. There were high pitch "beeps" from ground floor which woke everyone in house at 3am and 3:30am on the first night. Sounds like the smoke detector but we were not sure. However,...

“We LOVED our stay at the Hollins barn. Out of our 2 week stay in 5 different locations, this was our absolute favorite. The property is stunning and peaceful - exactly as shown in the pictures. “This property exceeded our expectations! Very spacious lounge and kitchen. The 4 double bedrooms were a good size with very comfortable beds. Massive bonus was that 2 of them had ensuites as well as another bathroom. The property was immaculate and is clearly looked after well. The location was very peaceful and remote. Daunting single road to travel from the main road for 2-3 miles however after doing it once it was a lot easier. Minimal traffic. Will definitely stay again!”
