This is a very inviting and friendly Inn . The two restaurants on the property are very good with a very attentive staff. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the Adirondacks.

Room was clean with a spacious couple’s shower. The complementary full service breakfast was wonderful. Front desk lady Betty was very kind to fill up my water bottle with hot water upon my request. All staff were nice and helpful!

Quiet, comfortable bed, very clean. Decorated nicely, very cozy feeling. Nice continental breakfast in bright cheery sunroom. Great hiking nearby. Staff responsive to questions and had good recommendations for dining and hiking. Very responsive via text prior to stay even had hiking trail directions printed out for us prior to our arrival. Overall very enjoyable stay. Everything was perfect!

We visited the Inn hotel to celebrate my husband’s birthday and take a much-needed break from my role as a caregiver for my mother. The weekend turned out to be exactly what we needed—it gave us the chance to unplug, recharge, and truly rest. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and just lovely throughout our stay. The level of service we received far exceeded what you’d typically expect from a chain hotel. We were very pleased with every aspect of our experience and are so grateful for the care and attention that made our time there feel so special.

The property is in the middle of nowhere. Not convenient to anything close like restaurants or shopping. They were very short staffed. Little things, like the tv not working, breakfast starting 20 minutes late, restaurant out of chicken dishes, food (except the brownie sundae) was ok at best. Would not stay there again. Very expensive for a marginal experience. And don’t let Friends Lake Inn make you think it is on the water. You can just barely see a lake from second story.

This hotel is beautiful, old style Adirondacks with cute rooms and great dining. While it is charming, the bed at least in the room I had was a springboard type of mattress you’d find at a koa camp. For the price to stay there I was shocked with it being one of the most uncomfortable sleeps I’ve gotten at any hotel and I travel a lot. Beds are an important piece to me. Aside from the super uncomfortable bed, the place was really nice. They didn’t skip on any Adirondack decor, the food for dinner and breakfast were superb and the people working there from the front desk, wait staff, and bar tender were top notch excellent. The bathroom and items they supplied were phenomenal as well. But truthfully as ideal of a cozy all Adirondack charming place as this is, I won’t return unless they upgrade their mattresses. If they do then I’d be back in a heartbeat!

Lovely place to stay. Confusion over breakfast which was not provided that morning was fixed with a refund. Got lucky the restaurant which according to the website was supposed to be open and wasn’t, actually had the chef in house so we did have dinner. Food was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend staying here when restaurant is open.

We understand that this property has changed hands several times and it currently shows with the lack of staffing and no food service on given days.There was no snack nor food items available. Having stayed here several times in the past it really has declined in the past experiences we have had there. Our room was clean and the accommodations fine but the rest of the area needed service especially at the front desk and departure.

I was in need of a hotel room at relatively short notice for a basketball tournament that I was refereeing. I came across the Finger Lakes Inn as it was just a short drive away from where the tournament was being held. Nestled in the Adirondack, it is a pleasant and quaint place to stay. If you like the modern "cookie cutter" hotels this is not it. The rooms have a "cabin in the woods" feel to them, and I mean that is a very good way. The restaurant is very pleasant and my food was excellent. I even got to visit with the chefs that prepared my meal. The bartender was great at preparing an off the menu drink and making sure my food was to my liking. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. It was a pleasure meeting all of them. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in the area.
