"I am extremely disappointed with the service provided. I booked a queen bed with a sea view through Expedia and paid an additional amount for this upgrade. However, upon arrival, I was allocated a room with a double bed instead. After noticing the discrepancy, I contacted Expedia, who confirmed that my booking was indeed for a queen bed. I then went to reception to have the issue resolved. Despite this confirmation, the front desk staff maintained that the bed type was only available upon request and chose not to address the issue. As this was a long-planned holiday for my husband and me, I did not wish to escalate the situation further at the time. However, the experience has left me very disappointed. I would also like to raise a serious concern regarding how this matter was handled. I felt that I was treated unfairly, and the interaction left me questioning whether I was treated differently based on my race. This is a matter I do not take lightly and would appreciate it being reviewed carefully. Overall, I am dissatisfied with the service received and would not recommend this property. I would appreciate your prompt response to this matter."

"Stayed for two nights over the bank-holiday weekend. Our room was fairly small, but had a great sea view, and we were lucky enough to have a private balcony. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The shower was good, and we weren't disturbed by other guests. Breakfast included a good range of both hot and cold options, although on the hotel was very busy on the weekend we stayed and I think they were struggling to keep up. The dining room was spacious and had great views. We were lucky and managed to get a free parking space right outside the hotel. There is a car park just over the road if not, however it does get very busy. The hotel is within walking distance of the town centre and the beaches. I would happily stay here again."

"It is a pub with accommodation upstairs. Has a good parking space. Spacious room with good bed to sleep. One thing I noticed was shower power was low."

"I recently spent four nights at the Lugger Inn (bed and breakfast) and enjoyed my stay very much. My room was lovely, the dining room staff were cheerful and friendly and the breakfasts were great! The Lugger is well situated on the sea front and although the current roadworks required a detour, normally the walk to the station and buses would only have taken me 15 minutes."

"Huge room, plus a bath In the bathroom, making it perfect for a stopover whilst doing the SWCP. Two beds pushed together made for a superb night’s sleep, best we had all week. Two adults, two dogs but plenty of space still. "

"Room 4 was smaller than expected, it’s deluxe but there was nothing deluxe about it. We stayed for 2 nights and it was okay for the price we paid. Other guests leaving really early made loads of noise by slamming their door and the front doors. "

"Great place to stay. We had suite 8 with nice views over the bay. Large bedroom area and separate living area with dining table and basic kitchen. Great location at the top of the hill giving pleasant walk down to either Carbis Bay or the other beaches and town of St Ives. Been built to a high standard. If you are less mobile, the hilltop location and 10 minute walk to St Ives may not be ideal but the place is a lovely."
