“We had the most amazing stay at Port Gaverne. From the moment we arrived, the staff worked so incredibly hard and made everything feel special. “Went for a relaxing break in Port Isaac and stayed here in room 5 which had a lovely view of the slipway. Room not very spacious and with only one chair which meant one of us had to sit on the bed but not too much of a problem. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The toilet was practically touching the ensuite door so a visit in the dark in the middle of the night left me with a head injury when I closed the door and went to sit down! “Excellent venue as a central base for exploring Cornwall. Ambiance, staff hospitality, amenities were all outstanding. Particular shout outs to Ben (Manager), Anna, Kate, Liz, to name but a few but all were superb hosts. We will be back!”

“Do not stay here. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and the owner was incompetent - there was no apparent cause but for around an hour it kept tripping again so eventually I tried (without success) to sleep in my car. The hotel was dirty, no-one was available to help/serve breakfast etc, items such as milk in the kitchen fridge were out of date. It is a very old unmodernised property.”
