"We stayed at this hotel in Charlotte, NC and were very disappointed with the condition of the room. The entire space felt gross and unclean from the moment we walked in. There were what looked like old vomit stains on the floor between the two beds that had clearly not been properly cleaned. The carpet felt moist and yucky underfoot, which made walking around uncomfortable.
The bathroom was in bad shape too — the sink would not drain at all, and there was visible mold in the shower. The microwave in the room (we had a suite) was filthy. Overall, the room just did not feel clean or well-maintained.
We could strongly smell weed coming from other rooms throughout the night, so much so that I had to shove towels under the door to try to block it. On top of that, the noise from upstairs was unbearable — it sounded like a herd of elephants and people doing gymnastics until the early morning hours. We barely slept.
The front desk staff were friendly and nice (That’s the 2 stars), but they were clearly short-staffed. They mentioned rooms were running behind on cleaning from the night before, which explained a lot. The breakfast was okay (nothing special), but it was hard to enjoy anything in the room because of how dirty it felt.
For the price, I expected much better cleanliness and maintenance. This was not a restful or pleasant stay. I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again."
