"Before booking this property, I did see a handful of bad reviews. This is because the previous owners obviously did not do enough upkeep on the property. The reviews mentioned new owners and to give them another chance, so we decided to give it a try! We are so happy that we did. These new owners are making a lot of positive changes, renovations and cleaned up the resort and it really shows. Our room was clean, nothing like any of the comments that were left. No spiderwebs or cobwebs in our room and we thought it had been renovated, but we were told it had not been (yet) just new carpet installed. We will definitely return, this place can only get better, I believe in a few years this will be a phenomenal resort. And so close to Boothbay Harbor, our view was fantastic. We did have an oceanfront room and so very happy that we chose this room with a private deck. The fire pits on the lawn and picnic tables were wonderful to have and a dock where you can use canoes and kayaks. The staff is very friendly as well. If you’re on the fence, give it a try, you won’t be disappointed."
