The Edwardian Manchester, A Radisson Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The Edwardian — WOW!
First of all, our flight arrived at 6:00 a.m., which meant we got to the hotel extraordinarily early. We were absolutely exhausted. The manager, whose name I’m so sorry to have forgotten, greeted us alongside one of the front desk staff members, Joseph, who kindly got us checked in as early as 8:00 a.m.
From the friendliness of the staff to the cleanliness of the hotel, the incredible scents throughout, the comfort of the room, the relaxing spa and the delicious food, everything was outstanding. Everyone was so attentive and genuinely made us feel right at home.
This was our first time in Manchester, but it certainly will not be our last. Needless to say, The Edwardian will absolutely be our home every time we visit. Thank you for such an amazing stay. We truly cannot wait to return!!
20/10!!!"
"Nice room, carpets and surfaces are getting a little tired and stained but still the cost and location is perfect for a pre holiday airport stopover. "
"We recently stayed at Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport. The check-in team were super helpful and friendly, which made for a great first impression.
The rooms were adequate overall, although unfortunately the heater in my room was broken, so it was a little cold during the stay.
The restaurant menu offered good variety and the food quality itself was very nice. However, the service level from the team was quite poor. We noticed guests waiting a long time to be seated, and we had to chase a server just to place our order. Considering the prices weren’t cheap, the service didn’t match expectations.
On a positive note, it was nice to see a complimentary bottle of water in the room. The free shuttle bus is also a great touch and very convenient. The gym looked good, although I wasn’t able to access it as my room key didn’t work.
Overall, a mixed experience—great front desk service and good food, but let down by maintenance issues and slow restaurant service."
