โFabulous refurb, stayed here about 12 years ago the transformation is absolutely lovely! Stayed in a standard room, which is on the small size but beautifully decorated with everything you need. Particularly liked the L'Occitane toiletries in the stylish bathrooms. โThis has been my favourite find so far. The location is stunning, environment relaxing, the staff are fantastic. I have enjoyed many return visits to dine in the lovely restaurant and to stay. The children feel this is like a home from home and treat some of the staff like family.โ

โThe receptionists and other workers were very welcoming and professional and helpful and accomodating.I dont like the rule of the hotel about you cant bring outside food(cooked) like pizza and food in box etc., into your room.That is the worse rule you can have at a hotel without a proper explanation that makes sense.Was told guests complain about the smell.That cant be.Because if a restaurant is on property,how does that explanation make sense.If one is worried about rats and cockroaches...
โA great find within 15/20 mins of North Berwick. Couldn't fault the room which had huge bathroom with roll top bath and walk in shower. Very comfortable stay.
The menu in the pub is not extensive but everything we had was beautifully cooked and presented. The place was buzzing with locals and visitors on both nights we were there. Highly recommendedโ

โBeautiful grounds. Itโs like staying in a castle / stately home. We stayed here while settling our daughter into the university of St Andrews so didnโt get to hang around the place as much as I would have liked but it was a very nice stay. โ

It was almost three times cheaper than other options further out of Edinburgh
The room was small but clean and bed comfortable

Hair dryer provided and shower small again but clean and modern
Bonus is the bar downstairs offering a range of drinks including Tennants and Beaver town neck oil. Best take your own travel iron but nothing else really needed

โThe best thing was sitting in the hot tub overlooking the North Sea & hearing the waves coming in & feeling the fresh sea breeze around our faces while our bodies were warm underwater!!!
The evening meal was exceptional, the options, the quality & especially the presentation with taste to match.
Breakfast was also lovely. No supplement for the more unusual options & good service too.
