“Just a solid cool, well staffed, well maintained hotel. A great bargain. The only downside being that there isn't really a pool or outdoor space like that. Other than that is very special. Highly Recommend if you are looking for a charming hotel. Is it a resort no but it's very special.”

“Easy stay, no issues.”

“Great location, right on the beach. We booked a 2nd floor balcony room that opened out to the ocean -- we enjoyed the breeze and sound of the crashing waves. The room was a little worn but good size and very comfortable, bed was comfortable too. The staff was wonderful. We arrived to an areawide power failure but the staff was prepared. Even without power, check-in was easy and the staff super friendly. We will return!”

“The house is so old that even if you clean it very well, it doesn't feel clean. Other than that, it was okay.”

“Nice Modern rooms, large, good bed/pillows.”

“Stayed here to see a show at the Ventura Music Hall nearby and this is definitely one of the grossest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Staff is friendly enough (it seems like this is a family owned hotel), but the walls and doors of our room were filthy, there were holes that had been covered by only painters tape, and the “AC” blew lukewarm swamp air all night. The only saving grace was that the bed was clean and bug-free, which I suppose is the most important part. HOWEVER, it rained pretty heavy...
