“We had a nice large room and bathroom. Spotlessly clean with a sofa. A welcoming array of tea/coffee with biscuits. Our only slight disapointment was that breakfast was a little greasy . Excellent location with great friendly staff.”

“Beautiful old hotel that was remodeled recently in an excellent condition. Atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff was very helpful. Beautiful property with Dryburgh Abbey right next door. Hotel is less than two hundred meters off the bike trail”

“The public areas were a bit dark and gloomy. The bedroom was hot and stuffy even with the windows open. Some furniture was quite old fashioned but the bed was comfortable enough. The food was OK but lacked better wine choices. The breakfast was a bit too greasy. Staff were friendly and helpful.”

“This was a great location for me to visit Galashiels. Its a lovely old manse building with nice clean big rooms and comfy beds. The owners of the guest house were on site, very friendly and welcoming. I had a sound night's sleep and woke to a lovely cooked breakfast with all the trimmings. I couldn't fault my stay. There is plenty parking but lots of free street parking nearby anyway so no issues there. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.”

“Very helpful chap checked me in, nice room, nice bathroom etc”

“Clean, good location, pleasant staff and overall a good stay. I am happy to recommend this hotel for a stay.”

“Convenient location bang in the middle of Selkirk. Hotel has a nice bar and restaurant with attentive and friendly staff. Breakfast very good but, at £35 a head, very expensive.”

“Upstairs bathroom only suitable for very small in height persons..”

“We were happy enough with our room at St Ronans Hotel and we were grateful for the host's recommendation that we should go to The Traquair Arms Hotel for our evening meal.”
