“The Imperial was ;lovely, well run hotel with excellent staff and food with one exception.namely the bread used for toast and sandwiches is very thick (approx 8mms) and not in keeping with a hotel of this quality. It should be replaced”
“Hotel was well run and the chef kindly cooked some food of mine due to numerous dietary restricttions, and did it beautifully. Dog was welcome and much kindness shown to both of us. Would highly recommend particularly to solo travellers or those with dog.”

“A great welcome after a long delayed trip. Our room was excellent, clean tidy with comfortable beds & quality bedding. Super large walk in shower room. Breakfast was superb. Staff very helpful & friendly. The location is perfect for a 10 minute walk into Barnstaple town centre along the promenade by the river. An excellent stay, shame it was only for one night. “Had a lovely stay at Leworthy Farmhouse, Neil and Kirsty are wonderful hosts. Very family and couple friendly. Breakfast was the best I’ve ever had and I’ve been all around the world. Quality produce and locally sourced, the portions were very generous and there was lots of choice. It’s in a peaceful location and once you drive out you have the choice to go into Devon or drive further into Cornwall.
