Castello Di Monterone is a small castle that has outfitted into an 11-12 room hotel. The rooms are small but comfortable with high quality bathrooms, windows, etc. There are lots of little alcoves, inside and out, to hole up in. Great view of Perugia from across the valley, and the city itself is only a few minutes away (although it's one of the more maze-like experiences to try to get into the city center.) Absolutely breathtaking!!! The rooms, the view the service and the location. WOW!! And Salvatore is an absolute gem. We were unsure of how to get there and so he told us to call him when we were nearing the hotel and he stayed with me on the phone and guided our every turn. He waited for us outside so we wouldn’t miss it. Talk about outstanding service. Every room is so charming and tastefully decorated and has the most beautiful views. And just a short and beautiful walk to get to the center....

Very nice stay! Me and my husband stayed here for 3 nights and it was wonderful! Luigi which is the property owner was very helpful and friendly, we did a tour in the property, he explained about the history behind this place, and we were very pleased everything here. It’s super close to supermarkets and Perugia downtown, I would definitely come back if in the area. We went in March and there was hardly anyone there, so we were blessed with some quiet and peace that this place offers. 10/10

Amazing place to stay! It is the little things that make this place one of a kind: like two suitcase stands in the room. The service felt like they were full time career professionals that felt like they really cared about the place and the hospitality. Dinner and breakfast was amazing!
