"Convenience to Petco Park is what you’re paying for. You can’t beat it! Staff is polite and welcoming. Pool is beautiful. However chair cushions are stained, torn and could use replacing. Basic hotel room is just that, basic. Beds are ok but pillows are like a deflated bag. Parking is astronomical at $70 per night! Ouch! Tip: park directly across the street for $1 an hour . Wish we’d known. It’s expensive, so be prepared. Not sure if we’d stay here again or not. "

"The Horton is an absolutely wonderful historic hotel with a gorgeous wood paneled bar, New Orleans style courtyard with a fountain/wrought iron and fairy lights, lots of historic photos and treasures, large rooms with fireplaces and bay windows and super thoughtful & friendly staff. And it’s just an over a blck from the children’s park and waterfront! We hope to return soon. "

"Parking was okay. Decent for downtown, fairly expensive per night. Staff were friendly. Air conditioning ran cold, heater worked well."

"We thought parking was already included in the reservation. We had to pay almost $50 just to park one night within the hotel. It should say upfront on expedia page so customers know. Also heater did not work at all when it was cold, so when we asked for extra blanket, they gave us a very thin sheet-like blanket. "
