"This was my first trip to mexico and my first tropical vacation in life. I feel obligated to provide a detailed review as this venue was so awesome, and exceeded my expectations in every possible way! I stayed for 9 nights Feb 20-March 1st, excellent time of year even though the seaweed decided to start coming early in 2026. Staff: The staff is both professional and pleasant, they are knowledgeable in their respective roles and always friendly. They make a pleasant hand gesture and cover their hearts when greeting you, it feels very welcoming and I'm appreciative. The bartenders are well versed and happy to put together special requests if they are unfamiliar. The chefs are happy and awesome, even the cleaning staff was pleasant and helpful and I like how you get a little card explaining who will be taling care of your cleaning services for your stay. Food: The buffets are fully stacked with many options at every meal and customizations are endless. The restaurants are all great, many options at the Italian restaurant in particular. There were also many vegetarian options in each area, and im pretty sure they can/do accommodate other dietary requirements. The abundance of fresh fruit 24/7 was so very appreciated. The fruit at the buffets was amazing, and you can always pick up a fresh fruit cup in the grab and go cafeteria. Beach: "

"Very big property, have to to take golf cards everywhere, easy to get lost. A lot of activities for kids, which we really really liked! Water slides, water playground, 2 arcades.For bowling you can use your hotel point or you have to pay extra, but still great option to have. Food was good. All the pools were closed at 6 PM except one, it was closed at 8 PM. The sales people over the top thought, I don’t think it’s appropriate to have that much pressure when people come to the vacation should be optional. Terrible beach, water is brown and a lot of seaweed, there is no cabanas on the beach no food service or bar, people don’t go there at all. We saw some coaties and raccoons on that property, which kids loved. Overall good experience.."

"Disappointed to say the least. I knew about the seaweed. Did not know it would be a filthy dark, dirty beach with dump trucks and tractors going non stop across the beach. We were in the old part called "Sunrise" in the smallest room which smelled like paint in the bathroom and the whole time I just wanted some cleaner and a scrub brush to clean the shower. and although we paid for a "garden view" we found out all rooms faced the garden. Lots of pools, pool chairs, friendly staff but be prepared to be walked right over to the time share/moon palace club sales people right when you get there and offered $600 worth of "day passes" to the grand for sitting through a 90 minute class. No thank you. Food was not great. Breakfast and room service were the best. Very little to do if you want to be busy. Excursion and staff booking the excursions were 10/10. Family friendly if you want close to the airport and don't care about the ocean. "
