“Nice, spacious room, fully equipped and lovely walk-in shower. Free parking with plenty of spaces. No restaurant for evening meals but the HI next door offers dining for International guests. Breakfast lived up to it's promise as complimentary "continental" but it also had a very limited hot buffet which ran out of eggs and took over ten minutes to replenish.”

“This is a converted coaching inn at the junction of a few roads. Easy parking, good breakfasts and dinners, plenty of character. A bit of a downside if you’re a light sleeper with the traffic and kitchen exhaust system. Otherwise, easy place to stay.”

“The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The staff were helpful. Parking was in front of the hotel, off the main street. The village had a few shops and a large town nearby. The hotel has a river at the bottom of the grounds which was lovely to sit near.”

“Breakfast staff deserve a medal coping with the understaffing. The orange juice is just squash. Nice poached egg available if you ask though. Good sausage and mushrooms. too. The waiting staff are lovely unlike the cold, unfriendly receptionists who should work at a GP’s! The grounds were picturesque and the pool okay if a bit too warm in the heatwave. “We had room 6, bejou and spotless. Just 3 little gripes in the bathroom. 1) There is no blind on the window. 2) Mirror over basin is stomach height, husband had to bend double to shave. 3) No shelf for toiletries. Otherwise the hotel is great. The food is FABULOUS. Biggest lamb shank i'd ever had. Breakfast bacon is a must and perfect fried eggs. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely stay here again”

“Our room was clean and comfy The staff could not do enough for you they were all very friendly and happy, we ate at the yak and yeti three nights in a row as the food was absolutely delicious the flavours were out of this world there was alot of choice on the menu too, they had a really nice sun terrace to enjoy a drink, food or just to chill, they had a car park for the duration of your stay Breakfast was a full english which i can honestly say kept you full until your evening meal , we did...

“We booked last minute to stay local for our son’s football event, and we had such a wonderful stay that we are already looking to come back. The local area is beautiful, especially Ironbridge. We ate dinner at the hotel and were so impressed that we personally thanked the chefs. Frankie, Chris, Carl, and Brad — you did an amazing job. The fillet steak was cooked to perfection, the mussels were delicious, and our son even loved the pizza from the children’s menu. Dom was working behind the bar...

“Our room, Croft was a small suite. Very clean with ensuite and small fridge. Ideal. Breakfast was very tasty. We did not have an evening meal there.”

““I recently stayed for one night at 23A High Street in Knighton and had a very pleasant experience. Tom, the host, was a real gentleman and couldn’t do enough to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The property was very clean, comfortable, and had everything you could need readily available. A great place to stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.””

“Best bed for us on this trip. Also only host to provide a shower cap. A room on the other side of the building would have been excellent but unfortunately we were assigned a room next to the Main Street and had a sleepless night due to the traffic noise.”
