"Had a lovely, albeit short 3-night stay at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. We’re used to all-inclusive resorts and the little differences were noticeable including at check in when there wasn’t even a water station to welcome you nor a map to help guide you - we were told to check the app, which only works while you’re in the hotel building as wifi isn’t available in most of the resort so our first day ended up with a lot of missed turns. Staff weren’t unfriendly but it was rare to see a smile. Very Vegas-y feel which had its pros and cons. The restrooms were clean though beach and pool often had garbage from the day before (ranging from empty cups to dirty diapers). That said, we never had an issue finding loungers most days. Food was expensive, which we knew would be, but delicious everywhere we went. We are beach people so were a little disappointed at how narrow it was (for most of the beach pretty much all of the sand was taken up by rows of lounge chairs and the swimming area was small given the docks) but if you go early in the morning there’s a nice stretch that’s pretty much undisturbed. The water park is fantastic and a real highlight for the whole family - plus barely any lines for any rides (except the flow rider) which was a real treat. Room was nice and tidy though having gotten a double queen room, next time we would definitely upgrade to a suite as the layout - especially the bathroom which had an open concept feel - afforded very little privacy for a family."
