"1. we had a blast, 99% of the staff was nice and very helpful. 2. No problem getting a ride to & from the airport - GET A TAXI it was 65 to RIU. some dude tried to charge us $90, so beware. taxi's are readily available anywhere. 3. DONT BE CHEAPWITH THE TIPS!!! you can get change at the front desk 4. We left everything in the hotel room safe and took just the money for tips with us to the pool ( we are not big drinkers though) if you are then take more for tips. any money you put in their hands to exchange for a drink they just made you goes a long way and puts a smile on their faces. 5. so, the only complaint that we have is that the room we were staying in was not very well cooled, i read about this particular problem in several comments on the web site so i know the hotel is very aware of this issue. we did ask for a fan to help circulate the air but they do not have fans. it could be that our room faced the sun all day and could have some affect on the heat/ sticky feel inside the room. other guest we talked to said their rooms were very cold, actually too cold at times but their rooms were on the other side of the building, on the shaded side. i thought with the curtains pulled would help keep the room cooler during the day but the A/C unit was was on full blast the entire time and it had no affect on the dampness inside the room. hotel staff said they would send someone to look at the A/C unit but they never came."
