“Such a lovely friendly receptionist on arrival. We had the green room and it was big and very clean.”

“A unique historical Boutigue style Inn. Excellent Food, location and very pleasant & helpfull staff”

“Had a 2 night stay which was wonderful, Jon and Julie plus George are amazing hosts the property is kept to a very high standard and furnished very nicely, the only small drawback is that the bathroom was small, however it is perfectly functionable and well appointed. Breakfast is superb with plenty of choice, you definitely won't go hungry Would definitely recommend and will definitely be staying again”

“Great fruit salad with granola and yogurt for breakfast!”

“We had a weekend away and enjoyed our room with a sea view. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. Parking was difficult one night as they had a private function on who took all of the spaces. Staff were always helpful and we would stay again.”

“We are regular visitors to the Grand, and after a dip around a year ago, are pleased to say the breakfasts are back as good as ever. Our room had been recently decorated and with the exception of loose shelf in the bathroom was in a great condition.”

“The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals. The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route.”

“The room was very comfortable, the staff were excellent. We loved the ambience and the food There was nothing we disliked except the proximity of the village church which insisted on striking every quarter hour day and night. It was an unusually warm night in October so we had the window open so I would advise using earplugs if the window is open.”

“Excellent location and facilities. Very friendly and customer focused hosts. Lovely breakfast made with care and many home made items.”

“This was my second visit to this accommodation and it was just as good as the first. The chalet has everything you could need for a self-catering facility. Clean, with also plenty of good quality towels. There is also plenty of parking space. As this was a summer stay, there were plenty of families with children and dogs. There are no facilities for children to play on so you do need to entertain them. Even with small children and dogs, the chalet park was very quiet and everyone very friendly....

“This was a quiet break for my wife and I in a nicely presented hotel. The staff were helpful and polite”

“Would have been nice to have a nicer place to sit out side other the bench tables not suitable for people with disabilities”
