The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The Ventana Grill restaurant next door had amazing food. We ate there both nights we were there and also watched a baseball game at the bar. Our hotel room was clean and the view would have been amazing if not for the fog. According to a worker at a local restaurant the weather in Pismo Beach is cold and foggy most of the year except for September?? While the weather was a bummer it wasn't as bad as the seagulls. They were all over the hotel. They completely invaded the parking lot, hotel pool & jacuzzi, the beach and they had a lot of nests on the roof of the hotel. Although the hotel cleaned the pool daily there was still bird poop on the concrete surrounding the pool. We were grossed out so we didn't use the facilities. The 2 days we were there my car had a seagull living on the roof and built a nest. When we left we had bird poop covering the entire roof. The hotel gave us a water hose so we could clean the car before we left. It didn't do much to help though. It left a disgusting film over the car & windshield. We had to get our car detailed when we got home. This hotel was extremely pricey, but it was not worth it. The only plus side is the location and the friendly staff.
