"The small hotel is in Marampata, Peru, close to Choquequirao. Everything that gets to Marampata comes on a human's or mule's back on a brutally long day of hiking. The fact that the hotel exists there is amazing in itself. No idea how the mattresses got there. My son and I stayed 2 nights on a recent hiking trip to Choque. We didn't want to carry tent/sleeping bags/ground mat, etc...and add day/s to the hike, although we could have camped for very little money. The hotel was well worth the...

"The Ecolodge Don Felix was a comfortable place to stay while touring in Quillabamba. It’s set in a beautiful spot by the river that is wonderful to listen to through the night. We enjoyed the pool and watching the chickens roaming the site during our stay."

"The hotel was kind enough to have someone meet us very late at the train station, help us on the very short walk to the hotel, and store our luggage the next day during our trip to the Machu Picchu settlement. Yes, there's a lot of stairs but it wasn't a problem for us. The hotel itself is really beautiful and the breakfast is quite reasonable. It's an excellent value."
