"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. "The rooms were big and comfy, the onsen was also really relaxing. My only concern was there was no ice bath to cool off in but other than that it was very nice. They offer free ice pops as well which was amazing. The massage chairs however were always occupied so we didn't get to use them. The pillows and mattress are also very firm but surprisingly we would wake up with no back pain. In terms of closeness, it's about a 5 minute walk from Kyoto station. We really enjoyed our stay here regardless"
"The property itself was wonderful. We stayed in one of the superior rooms with its own private hot spring bath. The staff were wonderful as well and everything about the hotel was great.
What we found though is there really isn’t much to do around the area and not many restaurants that aren’t at the mall.
So if you stay here, plan your day to just hang out at the hotel and eat at the hotel. There is a lot to do from the planetarium to renting bikes, to playing tennis and chilling in the baths."
