โVery remote, but beautiful surrounding. Only sensible, if you want to visit the closeby temples and go hiking. But it is an excellent hotel, which exceeded my expectations by far.โ
โWe had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. โ
โEverything was perfect for our family of four. The hotel is very clean, smells good, and the staff are very nice. I communicated through email, and they answered promptly. There are grocery stores right next to the hotel, many restaurants nearby, and itโs within walking distance to tourist spots, shopping, Kamo River and train station.โ
โI stayed at the Chaya house which was absolutely stunning. The staff were incredibly friendly and a joy to speak with. Otsu is a smaller quiet town with lots of character and friendly residents. I highly recommend checking out the local Izakayas and cafes for an equally excellent experience.โ
