"Not only is it a beautiful place to stay but very peaceful. Our host was very loving, accompanying, and we didn't want to leave. Also, try the pajamas! I bought two pair. "

"The property was neat and clean and once all the elements needed for self check in were complete, check in was no problem and we were given an early check in. The decor was lovely and it was nice to have the extra space. The neighborhood was cute and quiet with lots of hidden coffee and bakeries tucked away. We had fantastic donuts about a 10 minute walk away and the coffee shop next door was fantastic! We reserved the place for 3 night with 4 guests, 3 adults and a nearly adult teenager. We...

"Very comfortable.Just a stay ,not bed .Felt like staying at home."

"House and location are perfect. "

"Overall an okay stay except for the upstairs (where the bedrooms are) smelled like rot and the smell never went away. It made it very hard to sleep. "

"It is nice to stay in a small traditional Japanese home. It is a great experience "

"The property was excellent and our host was wonderful!!"

"We loved the set up of the house. There was plenty of space for everyone and the accommodations were beautiful. We were truly sad for our stay to end."

"Our family loved our stay at Cochi-en. Location is great, close to the train station, convenience store, restaurants and a short walk from Kyoto Imperial Palace. The place itself is beautiful, with traditional Japanese touches with modern amenities. We felt warm and comfortable during our stay, we especially loved the relaxing bath. Thank you for hosting us and making our Kyoto experience a memorable one! "

"The house is nice and clean and the owner is very nice and helpful. Will recommend to others who would try to live in a Japanese style home."
