We had some travel delays and then extended our trip and he has been so flexible with everything and even gave us a ride to the train station! "It is a 20 min taxi drive out of kyoto which costs around 5,000 yen. The properly is a very old building. However because it is a traditional ryokan, it fits that image and hence it's fine. Do include the full board option where they take you to a riverside location 5 min away on a shuttle bus. That location is spectacular for a kaseki meal. They have geishas do a short performance there too by the riverside. The meal itself is nothing home to write about but the experience is great. I...
