“Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.”

“I truly enjoyed my stay here, the ammenities were well kept and clean, the staff were very attentive and friendly, the spa facilities were great, the food was delicious and of course the views were breathtaking.”

“Very comfortable room, nice clean bathroom. The walls are a bit thin though so we could hear other neighbours, although everyone was asleep at night so no problem to sleep at all. The location of the hotel is great, it is a bit out of the town, in the middle of the valley. The garden is amazing and you can walk to the well a bit far down and to the town itself. The breakfast was very generous and varied.”

When we asked and received the second card it blocked access for the original card. “Rooms were absolutely dreadful. Dirty marks and scrapes all over the place. Nothing like the rooms you see online. They clearly havent been renovated in decades! Staff and pub were great”
