Polurrian on the Lizard

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel has some absolutely stunning views and would definitely recommend visiting and staying here! There is also a health spa which had a swimming pool, hot tub and a gym. One thing to note is that you need to book a swimming slot on the day. This worked out well as it means you have the swimming pool to yourself which was nice. There is also a games room which has an air hockey and pool table which went down well with the kids. Breakfast had plenty of hot options which tasted great as well as the typical continental options as well. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. The only downside in the family room was that once the 2 children beds were out, there was very little space for walking and the beds were also blocking the wardrobe which made getting stuff in or out of them a little bit awkward. Also, a note to mention that my children reported that the beds were not very comfortable. Other than this small issue, the rooms were lovely and clean."

"The staff were very kind and friendly. The breakfasts were very good. The sad thing was the view from our window. It was facing a brick wall. Other rooms seemed to have views of the magnificent countryside. I think with what we paid we should have had a room with a view. Maybe it was because we booked through Hotel.com."

"Very reasonably priced for what we wanted and breakfast included. Have a pool with a bonus as the weather was quite warm and Amy the girl looking after the pool was very attentive, as we didn’t have any towels left in the room and she provided them and always seem to be cleaning up and tidying in the spa area. Breakfast was well stocked and in a delightful dining room and again the staff were very attentive. Tom who looked after us on our arrival was extremely polite and very informative. Overall can’t follow the Hotel or the staff and as it was our anniversary weekend they’d also laid the towels out like two swans with rose petals on the bed as well on our arrival, which was unexpected but a very pleasant surprise."

"Really beautiful hotel. Great decor and you can tell a lot of thought and effort went into creating it. Food was outstanding and the staff were lovely. Didn’t get her name, but the female staff member who served us dinner Friday and breakfast was lovely. The team also helped us order a taxi to a wedding and asked us about our day. Really impressed."
