“The lodge and all the workers were very respectful, helpful and attentive. They made our stay (7 nights) amazing. The Latchstring restaurant had wonderful and tasty food. We ate breakfast everyday and had several dinners and ate a variety of starters and entrees. All very delicious! There was a stream behind the lodge with lots of fish to either watch or catch and several cool trails with amazing sites. If visiting the Spearfish, Deadwood, etc area, then I highly recommend a stay.”

“We got in our room and the shower was not cleaned at all. There was hair in the shower. We went to the office and immediately someone was sent to clean the room. We went back to the room and the shower was cleaned. We started bringing in our luggage and the door was open, from the light that come in the floors was never mopped! It was not stocked with toilet paper, we had a suite with just 1 trash can in the bathroom. No trashcan in the kitchenette. 1 bath towel that we had to share. Also...

“This is a historic hotel. Do not expect the rooms to be spacious. They are are very comfortable for the room they are. Our room 212 had a fan that sounded like a steam engine! Once we figured out how to turn it off the sleep was great! Breakfast at Bully's is a must! The food is very good and prices are the best I've seen in a while. I do caution about the pancake, one will fill a medium pizza pan, really not kidding. It is one of the best tasting pancake I have ever eaten! My only complaint...

“I booked a room online through hotels.Com. When u got too the hotel I was told that I did not have s room because they were overbooked! No refund yet.”

“Probably the best deal in Deadwood Colorado. My stay was in June 2026 room was immaculate staff at the desk and in the restaurant or top-notch. Won a few bucks in the casino as well. The restaurant has a 16 ounce T-bone dinner for $12.99 along with other cheap eats like a breakfast egg Benedict McMuffin sandwich for $2.99. I really enjoyed my stay. Whoever manages this place does a great job.”
