4/5 - Good
Spent time working in pubs with my friend and not being much of a regular tourist. But I like the town. Much more relaxed than London, but only 25 minutes away by train.

While Chiswell Green isn't home to many top sights, Verulamium Park and Verulamium Museum are some notable places to visit nearby.

Stayed in a superior twin room on the 5th floor, which was clean and comfortable, with a walk-in shower (important because I have mobility issues). It was on the small side but not cramped. There's a lot of history in St. Albans, dating back to the 700s and even a little earlier. It was an old Roman settlement back in the day called Verulamium. There's now a large park named after it, and also a museum about the history. Highly recommen
Didn't see much of it as arrived in the night stayed only one night then left the next day just after 9 am. So actually I saw St Albans when it was asleep.
Great City to be in just outside London. Oldest Pub in England the Fighting Cock, great food and atmosphere. Historic Cathedral just across from the Hotel. Market day every Wednesday just up the street, can purchase one of a kind designs.
