“The hotel was very old and in need of pretty serious renovations. They also don’t have basic amenities like a microwave or a fridge in the rooms. Aside from that it was okay. The room seemed clean enough but the AC has a low, medium, high dial setting and no real way to control the temperature. I would personally not stay here again unless I had to, but there wasn’t really any one thing that made it so awful I would never return.”

“The cottages were very nice and clean. The area was very quiet and quaint. My wife and I felt like we were back in Germany. The free sampling coupons to the wine tasting and bourbon tasting were a big savings. The air conditioning was spot on! I will stay here again! Hermann is a beautiful part of Missouri! The views were breathtaking of the land, hills and the Missouri River!!”

“Could not understand the clerk”

“With the virtual staff, I was able to easily access my room. Room was very contemporary and comfortable. The only issue was very noisy neighbors who partied late into the night.”

“The property is nice and staff is great but in my opinion the property is way overpriced for what you receive and everything is an extra charge. I just expect more than a few sodas and other basic items included for $350 a night cabin. It was in wine country and they did not even give you a bottle of local wine!”

“It was nice. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was really tiny making using the toilet a little difficult. Good restaurant with friendly staff. Parking was limited so I got permission to park in a reserved space, although I was nervous they would tow the car away.”

“The room was clean. The owners of the property were great…very informative about the area and answered all our questions. The location of the Inn was very good, within walking distance of most of the great shops and restaurants! The Taxi service we used was also amazing! Never had to wait more than 10 minutes and every driver was very nice and friendly! Our stay was great! The area is beautiful!”

“We loved this place- very unique! Clean and great communication from hosts.”

“친절하고 친근한 스태프들이었습니다! 침대는 푹신했고 온도는 알맞았어요. 방 안에 전자레인지가 있어 편했습니다. 카드키로 문 여는건 좀 어려웠네요 가족여행으로 완벽히 추천합니다 숙소 뒷편 작은 정원의 전깃줄에 신발이 걸려있었어요XD”

“A slightly concerning number of dead bugs”

“Staying at Stone Haus was like visiting a distant relative. The owners were friendly and inviting. Their dog Mandy was also friendly. The place was filled with various antique pieces and paintings. It made us feel right at home. The breakfast we were served could have fed twice as many people. We did not use the hot tub though it was offered to us. Its location offered a quiet neighborhood and lovely scenery. It truly felt like home. the experience was lovely.”

“Clean”

“Broken tiles on bathroom floor, large blood looking stain on couch to the point you didn’t want to sit on the couch at all. The shower/tub was dirty as well with no wash cloths provided. The two ac window units were not properly put in and have large gaps to let bugs in. Bed seemed clean but overall better detail for cleanliness and property upkeep was needed.”

“Excellent”

“This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The beds were dirty. The comforter had cigarette burns in them. The mattress covers had stains on them. The sheets were stained. One of the mattresses appeared to be inhabited by bed bugs. The wall appeared to have pictures forcibly removed which left white marks above the bed. The toilet and tub had cigarette burns. The toilet was not properly mounted, it moved visibly when sat upon. AVOID THIS HOTEL IF POSSIBLE. I was offered a different room...
