"We enjoyed our stay at Laguna Hills Lodge much more than we expected. I was initially a little nervous because the staff did not seem very approachable during check-in, but thankfully that first impression did not reflect the rest of our experience.
The property is beautiful, with vibrant flowers, lush landscaping, and a peaceful, oasis-like atmosphere. It ended up being one of our favorite hotel stays in a long time.
The location was fantastic. We were close to Laguna Beach, Crystal Cove, and several restaurants, including In-N-Out, Chick-fil-A, Raising Cane’s, and Farmer Boys. Traveling with a 7- and 10-year-old, I felt safe walking with them to these restaurants, and the hotel was visible from most of them. We loved being close to everything while avoiding the beach traffic and noise.
Our room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel felt safe throughout our stay. We also appreciated having access to Netflix on the TV, which made evenings easier with kids.
The pool, landscaping, and overall atmosphere honestly made us enjoy this property more than some Best Western and Hilton stays we've had. The only downside was the breakfast. While there were some good cereal options, the selection and quality were not appealing to my picky 7-year-old or to me as an adult.
Despite that, everything else was wonderful. I would absolutely recommend Laguna Hills Lodge to families looking for a clean, safe, relaxing, and conveniently located place to stay."
