"Terrible stay.Rooms are very old and not maintained.Room smells fried oil all the time and very strong odor.Mold in the ceiling ,the wood floor is broken and has lot of wide cracks.closet door is broken and missing a panel.Ac was not working and room was very hot .WORSE HOTEL TO STAY IN ."

"Everything about this hotel was wonderful!!! The location was perfect. It was right on the canal and only steps away from the water taxi. It was a short walk to Saint Mark’s Square. We received a complimentary tour of the glass blowing on Murano. The staff was magnificent!!"

"Hotel Montecarlo was absolutely fantastic! The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to St Marc’s. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff was fabulous, particularly Dario. If you have the opportunity to visit Venice, book your stay at Hotel Montecarlo."

"So this is rated 4+ stars on Hotels.com and others, but it is barely a 2 star. First, there is NO elevator so you have to haul your luggage at least 2 flights of stairs up to your room. There are no TV’s, no Kleenex, small bathrooms with very low water pressure in the shower. There were dirty socks ..."

"Our room was broken and in poor condition overall. Shower head arm & toilet seat were broken and not fixed until the next day. Same for the safe as well.
