The hotel staff always greet you and remember your name. Which adds a very personal touch. No matter how long you are staying at the hotel they will treat you like a VIP. "What a lovely hotel. Excellent rooms, well positioned in the Old Quarter, near lots of great restaurants and walking is very safe. The lake is a short distance away. The superb staff is always welcoming, friendly and happy! This was the perfect base camp for our almost 2 week exploration of northern Vietnam. The staff reached out to us and coordinated our arrival, helped with airport transfers too! Every side trip we did the hotel kept our large bags safe, welcomed us with drinks and fresh towels. The travel staff helped us plan and get to various sites in Hanoi. We used grab - it was perfect! Oh the breakfast! Best we have had anywhere hands down! The roof top bar is a must and has a great happy hour! While we didn’t use the spa, others said it was great as well. I strongly recommend this lovely hotel for any of your travel in Hanoi! "One night at the Capella between two photography tours, and it has set a new benchmark for what a hotel can be. Booked a Premier Room, upgraded unprompted to a Studio Grand Suite with a separate living and dining areas, marble bathroom with freestanding tub, Bamford amenities, a handwritten welcome card from the GM, and hand-painted wooden tortoises as a turndown gift. None of it felt like a script. The design is the property's real achievement: a new build executing a confident 1920s French-Vietnamese deco vocabulary, every detail considered down to the bakelite phone in the ensuite. Two throwaway comments I made on arrival were quietly referenced by multiple staff that evening. Anticipatory personalisation usually associated with Ritz-Carlton, executed here with more restraint. Dinner at Backstage was outstanding. I'll be back."

"The highlight of our stay is Le Club Bar.Let’s start with the afternoon tea. Mr. Thach took excellent care of us. He was incredibly polite, thoughtful and professional. After the perfect afternoon tea, we could hardly wait to come back for evening cocktails. At the evening cocktail hour, we met the lovely Ngoc and the charming Tuan. They were so warm and approachable that we felt like we were with old friends we’d known for years, while remaining impeccably professional at the same time. Ngoc noticed every little need we had and never let our glasses stay empty. The cocktails Tuan made were absolutely stunning. We especially loved how he ingeniously incorporated Vietnamese flavors into the recipes.Together with Mr Thach, they gave us the happiest happy hour. The experience was so wonderful that we simply must return here in the evening for a nightcap or two. The three of them once again made us feel as though we were being looked after in a friend’s home."
