“I stayed 1 night at Kingshead. The hotel is relatively new built and does not as such have historical charm. It was decorated and equipped very well and in a nice way. Thew room was spacious , tasteful and well equipped. The bed was a large and the duvet large enough for 2 people which isn't always the case. “Pros - Free Parking - Near Centre - Swimming Pool - Shower Pressure - Radiator in the Room Cons - Booked 2 x twin rooms but only gave one key card. When we asked and received the second card it blocked access for the original card. “I don't think I've ever been made to feel so unwelcome at a hotel or B'n'B. We were using public transport. We were dropped off by taxi at 10am. Obviously we weren't expecting to check in but I've never stayed anywhere where luggage storage isn't available. The owner's immediate reaction was to tell us we check in isn't until 2. She did allow us to leave the luggage but I was taken aback at the unwelcoming attitude. We came back at 2. Owner complained that she had no details about the booking....

“I like the character and location of the property and the staff are doing the best that they can. The property is dated and in need of investment. The bedroom could have been a bit cleaner (hoovering the carpet which did not seem to happen during my stay) and the bedding did not fit the mattress. The staff were kind and helpful though some better manners from certain bar staff would have gone a long way. The food was great.”

“I've traveled more than 20 countries and of course stayed many hotels. However, this hotel was the best for our family in terms of services. They had separated restaurants for family and adults (only) so that kids can have more freedom. In front of hotel, there are very well equipped playground for kids as well. Staff members were kind and they booked tours for us as well. Swimming pool and indoor spa are free; but, you should pay extra for outdoor spa. We will definitely come back to...
