Ko Jum 2 Stars Hotels

"I enjoyed my three night stay at J Hotel, and am glad to recommend it to others. The building and the rooms are quite dated and are showing signs of age. However, the staff are lovely and the facility is kept very clean. Also, the location is really fantastic. e.g. a three minute walk to the long tail boats to Railay. And of course there are dozens of perfectly nice places nearby for a meal. Or a drink….or two, or more. J Hotel is my new fav place to stay in Ao Nang. "

"Krabi is incredible, definitely go. That being said, I loved Koko Hostel but it’s not for everyone. Older building, run down amenities, leaky water connections everywhere. Koko does a great job of bringing people together, lots of hostel sponsored events and gatherings, I’ll be back for sure! "

"super great affordable location on the beach. fun for anyone looking to party as theres 4 floors of bars and youre on the very top. just a 10 minute walk from a small market. sweet balcony with a beach view, clean bedding, clean bathrooms, breakfast included is nice as well! "

"What a delightful place to stay. I had read some reviews about it and was a bit worried, but the only downside was the steps to the rooms/cabins up a steep hill. It’s a good location, and the noise from the beach at night was unnoticeable. "

"The staff at the reception was really nice. On our first night (3rd floor) we heard a lot of noise from above (like a cat or something). We couldn’t sleep at all but thanks to the staff we could move to the 2nd floor. Everything else was okey…you have a little Night market nearby. We always paid for the transport to the ao nang beach. "

"Hotel in a good location for us and we liked the pool. As others have said the staff were a little absent but housekeeping was good and the room was clean and comfortable. "

"We stayed here for 5 nights and had a really great stay, we were a bit nervous after reading some reviews about noise level, but it was pretty quiet for the most part but YMMV. The A/C unit took a bit to get to the sweet spot and the building was a bit dinged up in spots, but the staff even with limited English was very sweet and accommodating. If location and price are two of the big checkmarks for you than I think Salty Sand is a good choice. If potential noise and partying isn’t for you...

"Service is not good. I tried emailing them and WhatsApp messaging for up to a week in advance with no response. As we were due to arrive after 8 PM and their website said if you’re arriving after eight to let the staff know because there wouldn’t be anybody at the front desk so we weren’t sure what we were going to come into turns out there was somebody there thankfully the pool is really great nice and big. We didn’t pay for breakfast as part of our room rate, but there was a restaurant on...

"The hotel is new and lovely but work is still being done around the property. Can’t wait to see when it’s all done! Room was spacious and clean. Great restaurant right across the street. "
