"My wife and I chose Castel Hortenberg for our stay in Bolzano, and we were blown away from the moment we arrived through our departure. Secure parking with private gates. Upon arrival we were greeted with Prosecco, and this type of care and attention was given to us the entire time by Tommaso and the other staff. "Nice property, great location . Walking distance from alpi do suci and Seceda , food was great . Rooms are roomy and clean . You may need to ask for extra sheets we only got two small blankets, however everything else it’s amazing . The spa , the views . Very nice hotel . "

"Deserves its rating. Other than the breakfast buffet, I ate in the dining room only once so can't comment on the food. The breakfast was sumptuous. Friendly staff; lush, semi-tropical, five-star grounds; pool, spa, all appointed beautifully. Tucked away from traffic but very centrally located, the neighborhood is wonderfully quiet! As five-start implies, it is expensive but provides everything you could want for a meeting or getaway."

"If you are planning to visit Merano this is the place to stay. It is a family run hotel and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We first stayed there two years ago and it was great but since then it has had a major renovation and it is even better now. We were upgraded to a Garden Suite which had a fantastic view over the great pool area to the mountains.
