Went here for our honeymoon after getting married on the beach. This provided the perfect intimate, secluded, and romantic setting we both have ever experienced. This resort far exceeded my expectations. Even though it was low season, and the resort appeared to be almost empty of guests, it felt fully staffed and the service was excellent in every respect. The tour around the resort when you first arrive is great. We were shown the property by Tony Castro. He was friendly and knowledgeable. This hotel was a near perfect luxury hotel. It was beautifully appointed, melted into the ecosystem, had lovely facilities and grounds, and was understated in its luxury. The only area of improvement would be the food. I recommend that the chefs try less to be innovative and more to be consistent in flavor profile and time to table. For example, we sent back several dishes because like the Al pastor hibiscus tacos and the cold eggs with yogurt and oil (Turkish eggs?).

Hands down one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had in my life. The tiny house was clean, wonderfully decorated. It included snacks and some small gifts that made the stay even more special. The bed and linens were amazingly comfortable. It was wonderful to sit outside in the hot tub or inside by the fire. I can’t recommend this place enough.

It’s a beautiful place in the mountain of monte verde, it’s easy to find the place, it’s a beautiful, cozy apartment with everything in it! It has washer and dryer that was a big plus, everything is close by, hope to stay there in the future

El Tigre is a beautiful place to stay. The service from Andrea, Randy and team was amazing…even though the location is remote, we had everything we needed thanks to their exemplary customer service. The hike to the waterfalls was incredible and we loved the villa. Great blend of activity and relaxation. Just a perfect long weekend in the Bamboo House with our daughter!
