“Room was freezing tiny wall heater mouldy towels”

“Room was lovely and bright, could just see the estuary in the distance. Comfy bed, bathroom was small. Food was great, even served roast on Sun evening and it was delicious. We ate both nights of our stay, food was delicious and restaurant really busy which is a good sign. Staff and locals were very friendly. All in all a great find.”

“There was a wedding party which I was advised before I arrived. The hotel called me to confirm this which I was happy with. They brought the evening meals to the room which was very enjoyable. I have no issues with this whatsoever. They kept me informed. ”

“The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals. The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route.”

“This was a quick overnight stay on the drive back from Cornwall. The off-street parking and affordability were key in our purchase. Our room was clean and spacious, staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious.”

“Great location. Enjoyed the cooked breakfast.”

“We had a weekend away and enjoyed our room with a sea view. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. Parking was difficult one night as they had a private function on who took all of the spaces. Staff were always helpful and we would stay again.”

“Lovely Victoria seaside hotel. Great restaurant! Great breakfast with a sea view. Lovely swimming pool too. Perfect”

“There is a lot that is exceptionally good about the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful , the food and drinks of high standard and the spa area very good. The only slight downsides were poor WiFi although this seems to affect the whole village when we visited. We’d love to come back.”

“Lovely guest house in a quiet area, but just a few minutes walk from the sea front We received a lovely warm welcome from Lynn & Scott Our room with an en suite bathroom with a shower was lovely fresh & clean The bed and pillows were super comfortable We were there to celebrate my husband’s 65th birthday and a card & celebration banner were left in the room. Such a nice touch and so thoughtful Breakfast the following morning was delicious and very substantial Fruit juice, tea & coffee,...

“The woman who greeted us, was so lovely!!! Made us feel welcomed and at home and would recommend to anyone visiting.”

“This was a quiet break for my wife and I in a nicely presented hotel. The staff were helpful and polite”

“We had lovely time staying at the Cleveland Hotel. The room was excellent and the staff was very helpful.”
