Hotel is really pretty with with a lot of natural wildlife but it was overall very disappointing. Drinks were all so watered down they could have just been mocktails. Food was mediocre. It’s hard to get reservations at the à la carte restaurants but when you get there, they are half empty. They are obviously blocking reservations and pushing you to the buffet to save money. We checked in on New Year’s Day, and there was only one place open for food with a two hour wait. Not exactly the all inclusive experience I was expecting. The beds were unbelievably hard. There are so many better hotels in Mexico.

The resort was nice overall but could use some upgrades to the rooms. The shower was small, the room was pretty warm, and the food was just okay. I’ve had better food at other resorts. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here but I’m not sure that I would return.

The hotel rooms are outdated and the buffet is ok, but the guest service and entertainment is amazing! Cons: although the hotel is all inclusive, you’re not allowed to book dinner reservations every night. We stayed for 5 nights and were limited to two reservations for à la carte restaurant. You must book on the app 10 days in advance or your choices will be limited. The remaining days we had to do the buffet and having buffet breakfast lunch and dinner can get pretty tiring. The buffet is also just ok. We book for dinner Tequila restaurant and were super disappointed upon getting to the restaurant to realize it was buffet! If we only get 2 reservations last thing we wanted to do was end up at another buffet! The rooms are definitely run down. They also didn’t have queen beds so our kids had to stay in the pull out sofa which for comfort is just ok. Pros: entertainment was amazing! They really know how to keep the people engaged and having a good time. They do games at the pool and have a show every night! Everyone that works there is super friendly and will go above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing stay. Our flight was delayed and they let us keep a room until 6:00 PM for an additional $30.

We had a great time until the last day when I had a hamburger from the Truck restaurant there. Food poisoning kept me up all night in serious discomfort. They need to up their food quality. We had great tours of cenotes in the area and of the tulum ruins. Amstar is the way to go. The rooms were very well kept and serviced daily. The beach is nice with a bouyed area to keep currents from sending you out. Multiple pools with lots of access and plenty to do. My experience was great besides the food.

Great amenities (multiple pools, multiple restaurants, multiple bars, multiple separated areas for families, kids, and adults only, etc.) , very friendly and helpful staff, great variety of foods and beverages, good entertainment, and beautiful beaches. Convenient mini bank in the lobby, as well as a travel agency, pharmacy and gift shops. The suite was very nice and comfortable, although it had a musty smell that lasted throughout our entire stay. That was the only negative. Overall, fantastic experience e definitely recommend!

Failure to Provide Advertised Services I am submitting this review as a formal complaint regarding my stay at Bahia Principe Grand Tulum, which, in my experience, involved significant misrepresentation of services and failure to deliver what was advertised at the time of booking. The resort is marketed as an all-inclusive property, yet numerous core components of an all-inclusive experience were either unavailable, restricted, or subject to additional undisclosed charges. This created a materially different experience than what was represented prior to purchase. Guests are led to believe that access is provided to seven on-site restaurants. However, upon arrival, we were informed that these restaurants were already fully booked, leaving no reasonable opportunity to dine at them during our stay. This limitation was not disclosed prior to arrival and effectively restricted guests to a single cafeteria-style dining option of notably low quality and limited variety. Additionally, advertised amenities such as pool service and accessible food service throughout the property were absent. Entertainment was also misrepresented. Shows were promoted as included in the all-inclusive package, yet guests were later informed that attendance required an additional charge of $per person, which constitutes a clear bait-and-switch practice. Unexpected resort fees were charged despite the booking being presented as all-inclusive.

When I booked the all inclusive for two adults and one minor kid package the Expedia sold us flight for three people but only booked upgraded two bedroom suite for two. Of course the resort charge us additional fee since the Expedia somehow did not included our minor son in the reservation and it was very confusing to us. To me the whole unclear who's paying for what situation was from the beningin was caused by the Expedia website and more likely won't do any buisness with them any soon. The resort overall was nice with friendly stuff but food not so great and got boring after 1st day. The restaurants always overbook according to resort concierge service but after agree to pay additional 1500 pesos to chosen restaurant there was always no problem to take the reservation request. I'm going to say shady monkey business.

The room was nice but it is NOT a 2 bedroom. It is a 1 bedroom, with a pull out in the living room and 2 bathrooms. Staff was generally friendly, but they don't have enough people working there. Or at least not clearing dishes, refreshing food and drinks, and keeping things tidy and clean. No one comes to take orders around the pool or on the beach and the food in general is just average. Everything feels watered down including guacamole. Even the orange juice is some synthetic mix of juice, water, and something like tang. The staff at the gym are not friendly at all and even kind of rude. There are raccoons and birds constantly after your food - even on the outdoor seating for dinner. I get it, it's set in the jungle, but it's gross and they should have staff actively shooing the animals away. That said, we enjoyed our stay. Location is great and the room is nice, even if it isn't what they advertise. The gardens are pretty. I had a good vacation, but I would not go back to this resort.
