“Lovely and well decorated hotel and room. Every amenity well catered for. Loved the rituals toiletries and excellent shower area. Location was perfect in old town Saumur, everything in walking distance. Parking by owner quick and convenient. Would stay again. ”

“The Chateau Colbert has been extensively restored over the past 20 years or so to a very high standard. This has obviously been a labour of love for the present owners. The rooms are very comfortable and the views over the river and forests were outstanding. The food and service were exceptional and the dining room was a wonderful place to eat. They have the largest Japanese garden in Europe which we definitely return to see. The Chateau is highly recommended.”
