“The room had two relatively minor issues: 1. The toilet flush was terrible. Difficult to flush. Impossible with long flush, hit and miss with short flush. 2. The toilet roll holder was in need of securing. Toilet rolls inevitably fell to the floor when used. As I said these issues were relatively minor but were an ongoing irritant.”

Plaster falling off some of the walls. No bedside tables. Old shower curtain. Also breakfast was extra. “The hotel is in a lovely location in the centre of Criccieth. An easy walk to both the castle and the David Lloyd George museum, home and grave. “We had a wonderful time at the Tilman. Check in was great, we were asked if we wanted a hand with our luggage despite the bar being full. The room, no 1, overlooked the road but the noise was negligible as there was secondary glazing. Bed very comfortable. Great shower and towels. Water and soft drink provided along with tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Breakfast was amazing.
