I do not think this is a hotel but more a bed and breakfast as you have to pay for an evening meal in the bar/restaurant downstairs every night along with any drinks, you are unable to charge them to your room. “The hotel is in a lovely location in the centre of Criccieth. An easy walk to both the castle and the David Lloyd George museum, home and grave. “I was pleasantly surprised by the superb location and views. Everything about my one night stay was impeccable with a possible question mark over parking. I was lucky finding a parking space on the promenade but in season it might be a problem. ”

“We had a wonderful time at the Tilman. Check in was great, we were asked if we wanted a hand with our luggage despite the bar being full. The room, no 1, overlooked the road but the noise was negligible as there was secondary glazing. Bed very comfortable. Great shower and towels. Water and soft drink provided along with tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Breakfast was amazing. A great choice of cooked options and cereals, yoghurts, pastries etc. We found the ingredients of very good quality....

“Good location in beautiful scenery not far from some walks. On a main road but it was completely silent at night. Suite was lovely and bigger than expected, with beautiful views, and a very modern bathroom with a fab shower. The bed did have a weird slope to it though which put our feet higher than our heads!
