“The hotel was nice and comfortable and furnishings modern. the bed was extremely comfortable. The outside bar area overlooking the tidal estuary was lovely.
We had an evening meal the first night of our stay that was delicious and reasonably priced.
The location is great and extremely handy for public transport. The railways station is literally next door and that is how we travelled.
Only a couple of things to be aware of, the access stairs to the upstairs rooms are narrow and extremely steep.”
“Super hotel in middle of Dolgellau. Efficiently run by courteous friendly professional staff. We did not eat there but wish we had! Everything as it should be in a good hotel. Plentiful overnight parking in the long stay carpark behind the hotel. Some traffic noise as it is an old building with single glazing but that is to be expected. ”

“I found the staff very friendly and helpful. On my first night the weather was awful and sadly the room had a few leaks. I informed the staff the next morning to make them aware. Water damage is not good. They immediately asked if my suitcase was ok and asked if I needed anything drying. They then proceeded to move me to a lovely big room, which was lovely and very spacious 😀”

“Easy check-in. Room was big and bed really comfortable- large walk in shower was great! Air conditioning in room was fab too! Breakfast was included and was delicious with plenty of different options. Staff friendly and welcoming. A brilliant stay over the bank holiday weekend ”

“I arrived from London on the motorcycle and had a warm welcome with a lovely comfortable bed and a very good bathroom with a top class shower. Sadly I arrived too late for their delicious menu as the kitchen closes early on Sunday. But I will be back very soon as I have moved near Chester and Bala is only miles away. Highly recommended. “Our stay at The Marine Hotel was lovely. The room was lovey with a view of the castle and then of the ocean to our right. The room itself was clean. The bed was comfy and there was always great coffee available from Dee in the cafe downstairs. Will definitely be coming back for another adventure and would recommend.”

“Our stay was perfect all the way from the initial, warm greeting from Pattra, to the wonderful room, a lovely Thai dinner and, then, a peaceful night’s sleep and an excellent breakfast. We can offer no improvements. Just thank you for a great visit. It also has a great location-just around the corner from the Castle!”

Its self catering and shops are bit far so best take extra food and grocery.
We stayed in bunglow and they got nice clean kitchen with all the cooking facilities. Rooms are nice but mattress are bit old.View from bunglows are lovely,I ll try to share image. Staff are friendly. All in all 5 stars. Price reflects.
