"The breakfast was good, plenty of choices, and provision for dietary requirements. Room clean, bed was quite soft, and there were plenty of pillows. Shower could have been more powerful, but it worked and was warm. Leisure suite was good. Simple gym, good pool, and the sauna and steam room hot."

"Great hotel, was under renovation, but our room was excellent. The only downside was the younger adults who decided to have a party in the car park outside until 3 am in the morning! But the staff did their very best to move them on. It is a public car park for the bowling across the road. Generally, the restaurant in the hotel is better than that across the road. Quieter, and the food was very good. The pool was great for the children."

"Warm welcome, spacious comfortable room, with everything you need. Food menu in the cafe was limited but good portions - and with the added bonus of free sweet and savoury treats for residents. Limited parking on site - but if you pre-pay you get a daily food allowance, so good value. And very easy 18-20 min walk to the town centre, including a nice walk along the river path."
