“Nice inn style hotel with adorable staff and a perfect location in a quaint village in the Cotswolds.”

“The check in was quick and easy. The breakfast was really good. The room we had was on the front with a big window which was lovely but had to draw curtains for privacy in day. The only criticism was that there was a slight sewer type smell on arrival going up the stairs to the room and also in the morning in the bathroom but otherwise we had a lovely one night stay.”

“A lot of character and history. Our room was very nostalgic and quite spacious. You don’t get a fridge or AC in these older inns. There’s good beer, decent food and included breakfast. There’s a very small team of younger staff who are quite responsive and who are trying very hard to keep up in a busy environment. I think they deserve some more support to be honest. They appear to be nice kids who are a bit overwhelmed by the amount of work they have to do. We had an ant problem in our room and...

“From our after midnight arrival to the manager who went out of his way to change us from one type of handicap access room to one that was better suited to my needs. This property was run like a well oiled machine. The staff overall was polite and helpful, which obviously was made possible by the manager who seemed to treat them all the same way he treated guests (kind and helpful) even when he wasn’t in the building the staff was exceptional. A rare find these days”

“Very pleasant one night stay, we arrived on a very warm sunny day. We got to our room and found the window open and an electric fan, so we had a cool and very comfortable night. Parking was free and very easy and reception was welcoming. Our only grip would be that you have to go next door, to the services to source your breakfast.”

“The hotel is aged but still sweet. Carpets really need a good clean . They need to have a sign saying please be mindful of other guests as you can hear doors slamming and people talking all hours of the night. The staff are very nice and helpful..”
