I had an incident where the elevator doors malfunctioned and slammed shut on me and would not release. My left arm was severely bruised and hurt. I went to the front desk and they offered me chocolates and an ambulance to the hospital. I declined as I did not want to go to a hospital in Mexico. It took a few days for them to fix the elevator and every time I went into it, I was afraid it was going to close on me again. The elevator doors had closed on a friend of mine a day before, for the rest of this holidI was afraid to go into the elevator, and since I was on the upper level of the hotel to. I asked for an incident report and basically it said they offered me some hydrotherapy which I took, which was not great and completely useless for me. They offered me dinner, but basically it was the same dinner I would’ve gotten anyway it was just in a different room. Honestly, I felt like they just didn’t care and I was a nuisance. several times I asked for an incident report and what they gave me was was a paper with something written about offering me a special dinner. I don’t really know what I expected, but I expected to be cared about a bit more than that. I will never visit this hotel again a really disappointing holiday. The music was very, very loud and nonstop from morning till night, girls that were dressed like strippers danced at the pool for way too long and the music was just so aggressive, even though other people asked for a change of music.

Food was hit or miss at restaurants; Some days good others day just got by. Poolside brick oven pizzas are so good and room service food is great every time. Also ceviche at St Trop is so good! Had to ask for refill on room filtered water multiple times, seemed to work once we left a big enough tip (IMO). Staff is nice and friendly. Entertainment is good. Memorable staff is Josette and Alfonso. Can’t say enough great things about them. All staff is very attentive. Most negative thing was probably that they hosted a wedding that happened outside our room. No way to avoid the noise if staying in the room. I would have liked to know just as a heads up, whether we booked elsewhere or kept busy during these hours. It was great music at the wedding which was a plus, also heard all the cheering and ‘ay ay ay’s’. I would never expect the wedding party to keep it down by the way, just a nice heads up from the resort would be appreciated.

We had a great time at Santos! Our only complaint would be only one working elevator. The beach was clean and beautiful, the food was great! Would highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at Sandos Cancun. The food at the buffet was top notch world class, the staff was fun and attentive, the spa was clean and organized, the daily band and singing entertainment at the pool was fun and exciting, the beaches were clean and beautiful. Had an excellent time at Sandos Cancun and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a wonderful, care free vacation in Cancun. The MTS ground transportation was spot on, there, on time and reliable. Recommend using it and read the instructions they provide carefully. You can't lose. Expedia was organized, received helpful texts during my stay. Frontier airlines was good.

Staff is great, customer service is great, food was good, conditions of elevators poor (slow / buttons not lightingup), room was beautiful (we had the suite), room shower facets broken / tricky to get hot water, spa amenities poor - jacuzzi water cold, locker room was coed (awkward using restroom while a man is at the urinal) n cold plunge floor felt slimy. Outside beach beds need fixing / updating. It's nice but there is a reason why it's reasonable priced for all inclusive in the hotel zona. Would we return? I don't so.

lots of seaweeds, furniture's unattended, lacking in staff. room has no veranda, it has window, but you get humidity after a while. The room has no reachable electric outlets, bathroom has bathtub but sealed and not usable, no water coming out of the faucet waste of space! Dining buffet is not good as far as utensils, glasses, soup spoons, running out and not replaced. short staff, food not replaced right away, people tend to wait. ice cream is "melt scream" not ice cream, cones are stale and breads are hard, no jams, jellies, cream cheese around, you have to ask for everything. The resort has not many activities, no floating bar in the pool, the jacuzzi is cold, spa jacuzzi is also cold no snack back around, food not 24 hours open. main entrance door is always yucky with lots of fingerprints all day every day. The whole place is not enticing, needs a lot of attention on the facility, staff, and resort activities, etc.

Overall decent resort. Pros: not too crowded, nice beach/sand, good food choices Cons: Construction and could hear noises from above as early as 7am every day, language barrier was quite noticeable with staff, people reserving chairs and cabanas as early as 5:45am

Great resort, extremely friendly staff! Shout out Eddy from Bar Two! Pool and beach area are very nice. Room was excellent with always stocked fridge by the staff. Some of the food was a miss but we loved the brick oven pizza, Italian restaurant, and steak restaurant. Much older crowd which isn’t a bad thing but if you are young expect to be around an older crowd.

Food, service and amenities were incredible. Best food we’ve had at an all inclusive. The staff were so friendly and accomodating. Going out of their way to make sure my proposal was perfect. Made us feel very welcomed. The only two things I didn’t like was people were allowed to smoke wherever they wanted. So for those of us that enjoy clean air, it was unfortunate. For the most part, this wasn’t an issue but there were times where it would be unpleasant. The other is not being able to book a few of the restaurants. It was a “first come first served” arrangement. Which was fair but in order to put your name down, you had to sit in front of the restaurant and wait (sometimes upwards of 2hrs). If you walked away or went to the bar, you would be skipped. All in all, it was by far the best all inclusive we have ever been to. Not crowded at all, plenty of seating at the beach and by the pool and staff were incredible. 5/5 experience.

The rooms were clean and fhe air conditioners worked well. Karla and the entertainment crew was great. You have to stay for Friday Foam Party. As with any holidays there are always minor inconveniences, however the staff were quick to address our concerns and had the issue corrected immediately. The resort is a very good value for you money.

Sandos Cancun was a 10/10 experience in all areas of the stay. Food was top notch, delicious & easy to access; lots of variety in styles of food each night &&& drinks at the bars were DELICIOUS, quick & refreshing! The room was always cleaned throughly, bed made, provided clean towels &&& the cleaning staff was very nice! The entertainment was EXCELLENT! The nightly shows & parties, the POOL PARTIES were our favorite! Everyone who worked at Sandos, from the gentleman who brought around pastries at St. Trop restaurant to the pool party host to DANIEL the best water aerobics instructor, everyone did their job so well & truly made our experience great! WE WILL GO BACK!

Hotel Overall: Very nice small hotel. One elevator was a little fussy so sometimes there was a long wait for that. The staff were all very nice. We didn’t have an issue with any of them. Daniel, Karla, Juan, and Alex were all great out by the pool area. Daniel was our cabana server, and he was amazing. He took good care of us and in return we did the same for him. The only real complaint about the hotel in general would be the temperature. In the restaurants it was hot. Humid and hot to the point we were sweating some of the time. When I come inside from being in the sun all day I’d like it to be cool inside so I can have a break from the heat. It seemed as though it was broken in the whole hotel or just on very low because even the elevators, hallways, etc. were warm. We did enough our stay. It was a nice hotel. Food: Buffet was hit or miss as they usually are. Some days better than others. The breakfast was probably the best part of it. We were disappointed that they didn’t have a big taco station daily with pico, guacamole, and chips. We would have liked to have had that on a daily basis. The outside #2 building with the menu options for breakfast/lunch was great. The fire baked pizzas were also really good but sometimes lacked topping options like mushrooms or onions. Basic stuff you would think they’d have. Not a big deal though. Their specialty restaurants were great. The best one being the Chinese one. It’s hard to get reservations for it though so book early.

The food there was a eight out of 10. The hotel was kept very clean. Enjoyed our stay. I feel that the pools need to be redone. Otherwise staff was exceptionally wonderful.
