“The family room was lovely and well equipped for 2 adults and 2 children. A couple of niggles in that the blind was broken in the bathroom and the rubbish bins were a bit on the small side. Staff were really lovely and nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was delicious and we had 1 meal there which was great. Lovely setting next to the river. Would highly recommend”

“The Lodge was so surprising. Being on the Cathedral grounds, it evokes a sense of tranquility and calm. That feeling does not extend past the walls of the ground. The breakfasts were amazing. The staff was most accommodating. Everything was within the radius of the Lodge and walking to places was easy. The only thing that disappointed was that the standard double room has a tiny bed which was caused a snug bed-share challenge. It worked out. We're glad we chose that accommodation.”

“I’m so pleased we chose this place for our weekend away. We were greeted by Sandra, who was incredibly warm and welcoming, and she showed us to our room, which was spotless and a great size for two people. We were given our own keys, so we could come and go whenever we liked. The guest house had a lovely, homely feel and was peaceful throughout our stay, making it the perfect place to relax. The location is excellent too—just a 10–15 minute riverside walk into the city centre, making it ideal...

“The English breakfast was good. We stayed at the Flint House. The room was sufficiently large and the bed comfortable. Had issues with the temperature in the room. Asked for the advertised space heater and was told they were all dispersed and none available. Also the water pressure to the toilet was very weak. However, even with these issues the stay was pleasant enough.”
