"Oh man, I wanted to like this place. I wouldn't support this hotel or any affiliated hotels after my stay here. 5 stars hotel? No not at all. Imagine not sleeping your first night of traveling, because the jets were soo loud it sounded like they were draining the entire pool. I kindly asked them to turn off because of the sound, they stated that they do that at midnight. Midnight, 2am, 4am, 5am still on. I mentioned this to the front desk they had the maintenance team look at the issues. I didnt want to be the person constantly complaining however, there was no hot water in the shower. They came and "fixed", then I had about 2 mins of really hot water before it went extremely cold. Imagine washing your hair and having to finish that in freezing water. Lol I jumped in our room pool, that was also freezing. At the end of our stay, I was glad I was leaving. The beds are hard, there were many issues, and yeah the staff is friendly and super nice. Nothing to do with them, its about the amount of money you spend and not get a night's rest or a warm shower. I chose this hotel because it was away from the busy beach, I wanted rest. I didn't get that. At the end they wanted to give me 20% off my 1 tab of food and massage as a courtesy for my inconvenience. However I had to sign a letter saying I couldn't leave a review. I kindly declined because sharing this experience was more important to me. They dont deserve my business. And I would never go back."

"We stayed at both Hotel Bardo and Milam in Tulum over 10 days, splitting our time between the two properties, and honestly, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Both hotels are part of the same group and are only about a 5-minute drive apart, making it really easy to enjoy what each had to offer. They share a similar aesthetic — beautifully designed, stylish, and very “Tulum” — while still feeling good value compared to how expensive the area has become. The rooms in both hotels were exceptional. Genuinely some of the best we’ve stayed in anywhere in the world — spacious, unique, and thoughtfully designed. You can tell a lot of attention has gone into the details. Service across both properties was excellent. The staff were warm, attentive, and clearly cared about making our stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. The food was also a standout at both hotels — consistently high quality and something we looked forward to every day. Location-wise, both hotels are well positioned near Tulum town centre, with easy access to the beach zone. We hired e-bikes, which we’d highly recommend — about a 15–20 minute ride to the beach, much better value than taxis and easy to get around and park. That said, Hotel Milam was on another level entirely. A clear five-star experience. The service was impeccable, the food somehow even better than Bardo, and the overall atmosphere was incredibly serene and luxurious. The poolside bar and restaurant area created a really calm"

"Great space for a 2 week stay. Was clean, spacious and pool was perfect place to relax. Kitchen was fully equipped and a/c was working great. Would definitely recommend."

"Not able to use the air conditioner. It is automatically scheduled. Road to location is dirt road, road inside complex is also dirt road. Complex is in the middle of of nowhere, no taxis pass by. Had trouble with Wi-Fi. Did not received the name of building only 103, but all buildings have a 103 apartment. We were trying to get in the wrong apartment and the owners got upset, because of lack of information."

"Breakfast was scarce. Not much to offer and the man running the breakfast was extremely rude. We skipped they’re breakfast for those reasons and ate in town for a much more pleasurable experience seeing as we were on vacation. The main Pool had so much chlorine in it we only went in once it hurt skin/eyes. Our private rooftop pool was not clean. Pretty disappointing. The staff didn’t speak much English or pretended not to so there was not much to do but deal with this place while we were there. I would not recommend this place to stay at if you are looking for anything others than a basic place to sleep. There are no amenities and it is run down. The staff was not accommodating at all. The room was cleaned 1 time in a week. We tried for a second cleaning and it appeared that they didn’t do anything but remove the trash and make the bed. Floor not cleaned, counters not wiped. Strange. We did leave the housekeeping all of our leftover food (pantry) we over bought. All in all we were highly disappointed in this place. Online it looks nice but it is not what it looks like online in person. And the treatment from the staff was cold. We travel a lot and this is not a place I would recommend"
